Following the PIN Marches at HRC Antwerp in 1997, HRC Copenhagen in 1998 and HRC Stockholm in 1999 and 2000 HRC Amsterdam, The Netherlands, hosted the 5th annual PIN March - and it was the biggest PIN March ever (some even say it was the biggest HRC Pin Collectors event ever hosted by a HRC).
PIN (Pincollectors International Network) organized the event together with HRC Amsterdam (a big THANK YOU to Allison for all she did for us). I was president of PIN at that time - and BigBernd Goebel was my vice president. It was a lot of work for all of us - but what a blast it was.
More than 450 HRC Pin Collectors from all over the world showed up at HRC Amsterdam to be part of the event. HRC Amsterdam was PACKED with collectors - and we even had a big tent outside.
What a fun we all had. We had a boat picking up all collectors right at the HRC on Friday night (with special HRC service on board) - we had a huge auction and a big raffle and made a lot of money for charity - and I was very very proud that we had Lovely Rita flying in for the event.
